What is JCXS?

The Joint Contingency and Expeditionary Services (JCXS) is a U.S. Government Information Technology platform that supports global joint expeditionary acquisition and business solutions that fulfill mission-critical requirements, while supporting interagency collaboration. JCXS supports contingency and expeditionary programs that rapidly deploy for humanitarian, peacetime, and wartime missions.

The JCXS contingency deployment platform delivers application integration and business support services and web-based systems for the theater business environment.

Why did JCCS change its name to JCXS?

JCXS (Joint Contingency & Expeditionary Services) is the new name for the JCCS (Joint Contingency Contracting System) platform.

Our new name and logo represent our evolved focus on joint expeditionary acquisition business solutions. Although our name has changed, we remain focused on our mission of delivering accurate and timely global acquisition and business solutions to military and civilian government agencies that conduct business in contingency and expeditionary environments.

How and when did JCXS begin??

The DoD first deployed the JCXS program as part of its Global War on Terror (GWOT) in 2006, to secure supplies and services necessary for our warfighters and allies in Iraq and Afghanistan. For over a decade, JCXS has supported DoD and federal organizations’ stakeholders in 20 Iraq and 13 Afghanistan Regional Contracting Commands, and 10 Special Operations Command contracting offices throughout the world. The program has expanded into Africa and Central Asia as the U.S. government engages in new business in those regions.

Who uses JCXS?

JCXS users fall into two classes: Government and Commercial (Vendors). JCXS provides centralized vendor registration and solicitation/proposal postings on the web site, with English and Arabic capabilities. JCXS is the DoD’s vendor management repository for more than 45,000 Host Nation and other international vendors. JCXS customers are located in CONUS and OCONUS locations The DoD, government agencies and NGOs comprise our government user community:

How does JCXS support the Warfighter?

The JCXS team offers 24 x 7 support with resources in CONUS and OCONUS locations. We provide real-time Warfighter support 24/7/365, including weekly command calls and on-demand reporting. Our in-theater resources consist of functional analysts, business process reengineering experts, system engineers, system administrators, and application trainers, who work closely with customers to accomplish all required tasks using JCXS applications. Reachback CONUS resources located at the Mark Center utilize cross-collaboration of functional and technical resources, contracting teaming and DLA cross-portfolio coordination to support our in-theater team and our customers.

Who is in charge of JCXS?

The JCXS program is part of the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) Information Operations (J62) group. The JCXS program is an integral part of the DoD Enterprise Business Systems, within the Enterprise Sourcing, Medical, and Contingency portfolio.

Does JCXS interface with other systems?

System integration between JCXS and the following systems is achieved using Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) web services:
